Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

Andrea Mobile Beauty

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and I sincerely hope you and your loved ones have stayed safe and well.

I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. As well as a Safety and Hygiene refresher course through the Creative Beauty Group.

As life is now beginning to get back to some kind of normality and all restrictions have been lifted, I, like many businesses, am still taking steps to ensure the safety of my clients and myself.  Please follow the following guidelines.  I visit many vulnerable people so your co-operation in this matter is of utmost importance thank you.

Booking Appointments

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will complete a lateral flow test and not come to your home for your appointment unless the test reads negative.  If I have cold symptoms with a negative test I will contact you to ensure you are still happy for me to attend your appointment. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible by telephone and DO NOT ALLOW ME TO COME YOUR HOME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. unless you have had a negative lateral flow test.

Visiting your home

Hygiene and sanitization has always been of the utmost importance to me to avoid cross contamination and infections

As always, all tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions and national beauty standards, for your safety.

Wherever possible I will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

Please minimise the amount of people in the house on my visit, where possible.

I will wear PPE as suggested in the government guidelines and as set out in my risk assessment.  Gloves and mask will be used for some treatments.

I can confirm that the laundering of all towels and uniforms is a priority. I can assure you that all laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.

Clean, fresh towels and linen are used for each client.

All disposable items are bagged. I would be grateful if you would allow me to dispose of the items I have used for your treatment at your property. This ensures I am not taking soiled, disposable items with me and minimise the risk of cross infection.

Care Homes

At this time I do not feel it is appropriate to offer my services in care homes to help minimise the risk to these establishments.

My treatments

I have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and I am confident that I can continue to provide these safely.  A full list of treatments is set out on the risk assessment.

During your treatment

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash my hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

I make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let me know and I will do what I can.

After the treatment

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
