Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

For

Andrea Mobile Beauty

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and I sincerely hope you and your loved ones have stayed safe and well.

I have missed being able to offer you the treatments that I know you love, and I am looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.

My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time my business has been shut, I have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. As well as a Safety and Hygiene refresher course through the Creative Beauty Group.

Booking Appointments

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not come to your home for your appointment. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible by telephone and DO NOT ALLOW ME TO COME YOUR HOME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.

I have temporarily amended my booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to coronavirus symptoms, cancellation for any other purpose needs to be done at least 24 hours before your appointment, failure to do so will incur charges.

To help minimise risk and to thoroughly sanitise equipment I have reduced the amount of appointments available each day. Please be aware that due to this it is, more than ever, advisable to book our appointment well in advance of your desired date so that you are not disappointed and let me know if you can no longer keep your appointment as soon as possible so I can offer it to someone else.

Prior to your appointment

I will contact you to ensure you are not and have not come into contact with anyone displaying any symptoms of Covid-19.

Visiting your home

I have increased the frequency of cleaning my equipment, and will wipe all equipment and surfaces including couch, work surfaces before and after use. This will mean I will be with you slightly longer than before as setting up and putting away will take longer.

If I use any of surfaces within your home they will also need to be disinfected before and after use, either by you or myself.

As always, all tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

Wherever possible I will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

I ask that you wear a face covering whilst I am doing your treatment and any other person in your household keeps a 2mt distance from me at all times. Please minimise the amount of people in the house on my visit, where possible.

I will wear PPE as suggested in the government guidelines and as set out in my risk assessment. This includes a visor (government recommended) apron. Gloves and mask will also be used for some treatments.

I can confirm that the laundering of all towels and uniforms is a priority. I can assure you that all laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.

Clean, fresh towels and linen are used for each client.

All disposable items are bagged. I would be grateful if you would allow me to dispose of the items I have used for your treatment at your property. This ensures I am not taking soiled, disposable items with me and minimise the risk of cross infection.

I will conduct regular lateral flow tests on my self

Care Homes

At this time I do not feel it is appropriate to offer my services in care homes to help minimise the risk to these establishments.

My treatments

I have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and I am confident that I can continue to provide these safely, other than the treatments that are carried out on the face. A full list of treatments is set out on the risk assessment.

During your treatment

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash my hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

I make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatments please let me know and I will do what I can.

After the treatment

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and mine. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
